# Clean recurring quality issues with clean projects

> tutorial: Guided end-to-end learning.

## Learning outcome

Correct a repeatable data-quality problem with a focused clean project and verify the outcome.

## Scenario

You have proved that a recurring formatting or value issue affects a defined population and does not require a mapping redesign. Fixing records one at a time would be slow and difficult to repeat.

## Read

- [Clean](https://documentation.cluedin.net/govern/cleaning.md)
- [Manage a clean project](https://documentation.cluedin.net/govern/cleaning/manage-clean-project.md)

## Exercise

1. Start from a saved search or other clearly scoped population.
2. Create a clean project containing only the properties needed for the problem.
3. Generate results and use an appropriate bulk-cleaning technique.
4. Process the cleaned data using the documented workflow.
5. Review whether generated or architect-owned rules should prevent recurrence.
6. Return to the original saved search and verify whether the affected population decreased as expected.

## Deliverable

The clean project and an issue-log entry recording scope, transformation, result, verification, and recommendation for future prevention.

## Complete when

- The project fixes a defined problem rather than an arbitrary collection of records.
- You can explain the snapshot and processing implications of the clean workflow.
- You verify the result against the original population.
