# Master

How do I turn records into trusted golden records?
  Data stewards and data architects.

Mastering is where many records about the same real-world thing become one golden record. Deduplication finds the duplicates, merging resolves them, and the golden record keeps the full history and explanation of how every value was chosen.

For what a golden record *is*, see [Core concepts](https://documentation.cluedin.net/get-started/core-concepts.md). This section covers how to work with them.

## In this section

- [Golden records](https://documentation.cluedin.net/master/golden-records.md): How to work with golden records once they exist: see what they are connected to, read their history, understand why a value was chosen, and remove records or individual data parts.
- [Deduplication](https://documentation.cluedin.net/master/deduplication.md): Deduplication is how CluedIn finds records that describe the same thing and merges them.
- [Search](https://documentation.cluedin.net/master/search.md) (how-to): In this article, you will learn how to use the search capabilities in CluedIn to efficiently find the golden records you need.
- [Filters](https://documentation.cluedin.net/master/filters.md) (how-to): Filters play a significant role in various parts of CluedIn.
